Capability Maturity Model Integration for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) ist Teil der CMMI Produktfamilie von Prozessreifegradmodellen. Es ist ein Rahmenwerk, Unternehmen anzuleiten, ihre Beschaffungsprozesse zu verbessern. Es unterstützt Unternehmen bei der Bewertung ihrer Prozessreifeder Beschaffung von Produkten oder Services.
Das Modell fasst käuferseitig die für eine erfolgreiche Beschaffung relevanten Prozesse und Kompetenzbereiche zusammen. Es berücksichtigt die Käufer-/Lieferantenbeziehung und stellt dem Käufer die Werkzeuge zur Verfügung, seine Performance zu verbessern und an die der Lieferanten anzupassen. Mit anderen Worten, es ermöglicht dem Käufer, die Leistungsfähigkeit seiner Lieferanten anzugleichen, um so erfolgreiche Geschäftsbeziehungen zu gewährleisten.

Mit CMMI-ACQ können IT-Services erbringende Unternehmen:
- durch gesteigerte Leistungen des operativen Betriebs Schranken und Probleme im Beschaffungprozess vermeiden;
- einen Beschaffungsprozess für Produkte und Services einführen und steuern, der vom Angebote einholen, Lieferanten auswählen, Verhandlungen führen und bewerten bis hin zum Lieferantenfähigkeitsmanagement geht;
- eine gemeinsame Sprache zwischen Lieferanten und Käufern nutzen, um Qualitätslösungen schneller und kostengünstiger mit der bestmöglichen Technologie auszuliefern.
CMMI-ACQ wurde am Software Engineering Institute (SEI) der Carnegie-Mellon University entwickelt. Es stellt Richtlinien zur Entwicklung und Verbesserung der, die Geschäftsziele eines Unternehmens abdeckenden Prozesse dar.
CMMI-ACQ umfasst 22 Prozessbereiche: sechs spezielle Beschaffungsbereiche und sechzehn Bereichen, die es mit anderen CMMI-Modellen teilt.
Die sechs spezifischen Beschaffungsprozesse sind:
- Acquisition Requirements Development (ARD) — Detailieren, Entwickeln und Analysieren der Kunden- und Vertragsanforderungen.
- Solicitation and Supplier Agreement Development (SSAD) — Verhandlungsvorbereitung, Auswahl eines oder mehrer Lieferanten, die Produkt oder Services zu liefern, Aufbau und Pflege von Lieferantenvereinbarungen.
- Agreement Management (AM) — gewährleisten, dass Lieferant und Käufer entsprechenden den Bedingungen der Lieferantenvereinbarung handeln.
- Acquisition Technical Management (ATM) — Beurteilen der techn. Lösung des Lieferanten und Kontrolle ausgewählter Schnittstellen der Lösung.
- Acquisition Verification (AVER) — Sicherstellen, dass ausgewählte Arbeitsergebnisse den vereinbarten Anforderungen genügen.
- Acquisition Validation (AVAL) — Nachweisen, dass ein beschafftes Produkt oder Service den ihm bestimten Zweck in der ihm bestimmten Umgebung erfüllt.

- Teams and teaming
Die sechzehn gemeinsamen Prozessbereiche enthalten Praktiken für Projektmanagement, organisatorisches Prozessmanagement, Infrastruktur und sonstige Unterstützung.
Reifegradbewertungen

Als CMMI-Modell kann CMMI-ACQ auch zur Bewertung der Prozessreife einer Organisation verwendet werden. Es ist eine Variante des CMMI-DEV-Modells und besteht aus ungefähr 70% gemeinsamen und zusätzlich weiteren speziellen Komponenten, die die Käuferrolle eines Unternehmens abdecken.
