IDEAL serves as a kind of roadmap for initiating, planning, and implementing process improvement actions in the context of the CMMI product suite. IDEAL is a process-improvement and defect-reduction methodology. The model is named for the five phases it describes: Initiating, Diagnosing, Establishing, Acting, Learning. »
